A Power BI report is a multi-perspective look at a dataset, with visualisations representing various discoveries and insights from that dataset. A report might include a single graphic or several visuals on multiple pages. You could be a report designer, depending on your position. You may also be a business user who consumes or makes use of reports. This is a business-oriented article.

Benefits of Reports:

A report in Power BI is based on a single dataset. The graphics of a report are created by report designers to illustrate bits of information. The graphics are not static. As the underlying data changes, they update. As you explore into the data for insights and answers, you may interact with the graphics and filters. A report is extremely interactive and customisable, similar to a dashboard but more so. The scope of what you can accomplish with a report is determined by the report designer’s role and permissions.

Lets get started!

  1. Before you can create any reports in Power BI, you need a dataset for this I am going to use my own dataset which I use in Pervious Power BI blog.A Power BI report is a multi-perspective look at a dataset, with visualisations representing various discoveries and insights from that dataset. 1. Before you can create any reports in Power BI, you need a dataset for this I am going to use my own dataset which i use in Pervious Power BI blog.
Review before loading the dataset in Power BI

2. Following the successful addition of the dataset, To make a new report, click on your dataset. A blank canvas is now visible.

3. You must now include graphics in your report. You may accomplish this in one of two ways:
* Choose the fields first, then the visualizations.
* Alternatively, if you have a specific visualization in mind, choose the visual type first, then the fields.

4. Select the visualization which you wanted in your report and select the columns as needed

Choose pie chart visualization (Product)
choose the graph visualization (Sales_Facts)
choose the line graph (Store)
Final Report

Hence I have learned how to create the report in Power BI desktop which is help us to analyze the dataset.
